A briefing in plain language
One project explained in sentences. It is the paragraph somebody would otherwise write by hand before a review, produced from the project’s own data.
The update, already written.
Ask for a briefing on a project and read what is actually happening: the health, the trend, the overdue and blocked work, and the risks that need a decision. Listen to it, or send it to the people who need it.
Step through a project briefing.
A briefing is produced on request for one project. It opens with the health HelixSync has assessed, the score behind it, the direction of travel, and the counts of overdue and blocked work.
The briefing explains the project in plain language and lists the risks that earned the health rating, ordered by severity. It is the paragraph you would otherwise have written yourself before the meeting.
Have the briefing read aloud, or email it to the people on your team who need it. The briefing goes to them as it stands, so everyone is reading the same assessment.
Everything the briefing carries, and where it stops.
One project explained in sentences. It is the paragraph somebody would otherwise write by hand before a review, produced from the project’s own data.
The briefing opens with the health HelixSync assessed and the score behind it. A project it cannot assess is reported as unmeasured rather than given a misleading zero.
Improving, stable, or declining. A project at the same score for three weeks and one falling toward it are different problems.
The two counts that decide whether a project needs attention this week are stated, not buried in a chart.
The risks that earned the rating are listed and ordered, so the meeting starts at the top of the list.
Have the briefing read aloud when you are between meetings rather than in front of a screen.
Pick the colleagues who need it and send the briefing as it stands, so everyone is working from the same assessment.
Every briefing carries its generation time. A briefing from Monday is not quietly mistaken for today’s position.
Project Insights summarises what your workspace already records — health, trend, overdue and blocked work, and the risks behind the rating. It does not reassign work, move dates, or decide anything on your behalf. The decision stays with the people in the room.
